About Yukiko Kinjo
After her studies at the Ryukyu University in Okinawa Japan, she won the Japanese Government’s selection procedure for scholarships to study vocal performance in Italy. She continued her vocal studies at the Milan Music Academy and from 2003 also at the Parma Conservatory with Lucetta Bizzi and Eugenio Furlotti. From 2005 she started to study with Jiři Kotouč in Prague and with Minako Kohatsu in Japan. In the summer 2009 she took part in the masterclass with Mirella Freni. In 2010 graduated in the Prague Conservatory.
In 2007 and in 2008 she became prize winner in the Antonín Dvořák International Vocal Competition in Karlovy Vary, winning 3rd prize, a special award of Opera Mozart, the best singing interpretation of A.Dvořák and also she took an opportunity to sing in the State Opera Prague in the season of 2009 to 2011 and in the Liberec opera theatre where debuted as Adina (L’elisir d’amore).
From 2012, she is a solist of the National Theatre of Prague where is singing a role of Pamina (Die Zauberflöte), Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), Donna Anna,Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Despina (Cosi fan tutte), Blonde (Die Entführung aus dem Serail), Gilda (Verdi:Rigoletto), First nymph (Dvorak: Rusalka), Lidka(Dvorak:The Two Widows), Liu (G. Puccini: Turandot), Gretel (E. Humperdinck: Hansel and Gretel), Clorinda (G. Rossini: Cinderella)..
She is singing also with a theatre of České Budějovice and a Summer opera Festival in Český Krumlov: Gilda (Rigoletto), First nymph and Kuchtik(Rusalka), Michaela(Carmen) and Susanna(Le Nozze di Figaro). In 2018, she won the Audience Award of South Bohemian Thalia with a role of Leonora(Verdi:Il trovatore).
She also sings the concerts (Vivaldi: Gloria, Mozart: Requiem, Haydn: Stabat Mater, Händel: Messiah, Beethoven: IX.Sinfonie, Dvořák: Stabat Mater, Te Deum; Poulenc: Stabat Mater, Mendelssohn: Lobgesang, Martinů: Bouquet of Flowers, Pavel Trojan: Missa Solemnis, Mozartissimo at the EstatesTheatre, etc.).
